Since I see this from time to time. You will need to give a valid email address. The address will not be misused in any way, but it is necessary for (initial) activation and also if you should forget your password. Your email address will be hidden from the public anyway (so no spam should occur from here), but you may decide to show it to members of the forum (change this setting in the profile!)
