I'll assume you were addressing me. CamStudio was originally released by a company called RenderSoft,
they released it as a bsd style license (there latest version was v2.0)
RenderSoft sold the software and stopped the develoment. (2003)
Then someone else took the old Camstudio code and hosted it ...
