I have solved the problem myself! Upnp was indeed the problem. The solution is not to use it! Just use normal Port Forwarding as per UltraVNC.

In the PChelpware_viewer.exe window, do NOT tick the Auto Map box. It was not necessary to disable Upnp in my Netgear Router.

Oops!! I was trying to be too clever! Of course I have a copy of PChelpware_viewer.exe. That's what I used to create several test servers. However, having created a new Custom Server, I thought that I had to embed a new Alias, Password etc into the Custom Server ...

Hi,

I have successfully created and run several directly connected test servers from PcHelpWare_rel10.zip. I appear to have successfully created a Custom Server using PcHelpWare_rel10_SCgui.zip. (I regularly use Uvnc Single Click so used appropriate icons, helpdesk.txt etc from that).
