Yes, I believe the bug is in kvm. Here:

That did not fix the issue. The local mouse is still sometimes 2/3 of a screen away from the remote mouse making it difficult to navigate.

On a Windows7 box I am trying to control an xp64 install running on a linux box under kvm with the vnc server option.
