Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
I found this >> http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/121985-autoit-machine-code-algorithm-collection/ which contains the DES Encryption Algorithm. Therefore you might be able to do away with the dependency of vnc_hash.exe and code in pure AutoIt.

I saw you posted about spelling mistakes in UVNC, so I thought would let you know that in the OP for the Beta 3.2 Testing experienced is spelt as experianced
PS. I haven't had any problems with the Beta4 version yet.

1. When launching InstantSupport.exe I keep getting "UltraVNC Server Property Settings" I don't know if this has been reported already!
2. (Not a bug) But the compiler allows me to compile using "Password" as "Password" was/is this intended?

Good to see your continuing work on ChunkVNC.
Looking back at the code from 10months ago I can see I have improved with AutoIt!

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
Excellent! In the mean time I have been learning a lot about AutoIt and the best practice in reducing the file size, also started to get into WM_NOTIFY and WM_COPYDATA!

Hey, just thought I would post again saying that I'm not dead, just dormant! I have been coding a few programs and been getting into _GUICtrlListView_Create() and have a few code snippets that could be included. I see Rat is now added on GoogleCode.

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
I was going to create something like this but a UDF has already been created! ContextHelp.au3 , to simply explain it creates a '?' in the Title of the GUI i.e. near the Close, Minimise, Maximise buttons that a user can then use to select a control or area and it will display a short but helpful ...

WOW! That's cool and who said the project was dead?!
Wouldn't having a public repeater be a little selfless? I for one would embrace it but this is too much to ask from you. OR Move the project from Google Code to the VPS?

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
I don't know if you have ever used Obfuscator? But I did for the first time the other and it reduced a binary file of mine from 430KB to 320KB! I knew about it but didn't know how good it was. I have always been concerned about using include files such as Misc.au3 and File.au3 when only using 1 or 2 ...

Re: ETA on 4.0
It appears this project has come to a hault or a serious slow crawl.
It hasn't, just because no stable version has been released, doesn't mean the project has ceased. Look at the the activity of the sub-forum is a clue to the continuing release of version 4.0 :)
I wish I had the time or skill to ...

I don't see why not, but I think supercoe opted out of using securevncplugin.dsm firstly because of the file size and secondly I believe problems were experienced!

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
Yeh, OK now I understand. I am so used to running as Admin and rarely touch the Registry. I have been looking at the WinAPI calls in AutoIt and some have been very useful. It's also nice to see working examples in AutoIt, MSDN can be a little overwhelming.

Re: A (Potentially) Serious Script Issue
An idea is to have a fail safe, for example ChunkVNC can only be executed with a commandline parameter, therefore if the average user were to click on it then it would fail with a welcoming MsgBox()

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
Works on Win2000/XP/Vista & 7
It adds the file to the registry key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations
Plus the RunBinary would cause problems for a lot of people.

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
Another AutoIt idea, with the whole locking of file(s) problem, how about using _WinAPI_MoveFileEx() contained in WinAPIEx UDF, it will add the file to the registry so on next boot it will be deleted.

Re: ChunkVNC Upcoming Features and Requests
AutoIt Function Idea: I found this ... _FileInstall_CreateFileList UDF , it''s a simple function made into a UDF which only requires a Source and Destination , both from what I can see are recursive, but it will save you having to list all the files and simply point to a folder!
Also I have been ...

Are you going to use the latest version of AutoIt (3.3.6.0) or you sticking with the 3.3.4.0, because there was quite a few bug fixes.
