Re: Unable to Get Uvnc SC To Work
You seem very good at telling me what I need to do but obviously cannot be bothered to explain how. I object to the suggestion that "I don't want to read maybe ... ". I spent several years working as a technical support officer on a telephone help desk dealing with high-end facsimile machines and ...

Thank you for bearing with me on this one. I Have to admit that I don't follow your most recent suggestions. Please will you explain in detail how I can" replace the ip of my computer by hostname?" Do you mean in helpdesk.txt file because, if so, I have already entered my DynDns address in ...

Re: Unable to Get Uvnc SC To Work
Well I don't know where I got the idea that port 5900 was the one to forward. Anyway SC now works ok. Only trouble is that I have Network Magic controlling the LAN so I am having to turn that off on the pc that I am using as the "viewer" and then enable a static ip. Apparently Network Magic does not ...

Re: Couple of questions
Thanks for your very speedy reply. No the "viewer" pc will most probably be kept in a fixed location so the repeater will be ok.
Pleased to hear about DynDns as well.
Will let you know as to progress and of course the crate of beer might well be heading closer!!

Re: ChunkVNC Customization
If I manage to get this to work I will donate you a case of beer. I have spent the last ten days trying to get UVNC SC to go but have failed miserably. I would appreciate your help however if I do get stuck!
Just thought of a couple of questions:
Can the repeater be on the same pc as the viewer ...

Unable to Get Uvnc SC To Work
Hi
I would like to use uvnc sc to remotely diagnose the occasional remote customers' pc's. I am far from stupid but cannot get the system to work. I downloaded custom.zip and then amended helpdesk.txt to allow my recently acquired dyndns address to be used. I then zipped it up and created the ...
