as workaround i can suggest to use thhe on screen keyboard.

i'm able to enter in my win 2k8 server by clicking the ease of access button in bottom left, select to view the on screen keyboard and then (on the on screen kyboard) click:
shift
ctrl
alt
del

voilà , i can enter user and pwd
