Re: Garbage in "host" list with 25+ entries
I'm not entirely sure, but I think EchoVNC might be cross-platform. You might check into that. That's about all I can think of.

Re: Garbage in "host" list with 25+ entries
I would definitely use repeater instead of doing this. Give one machine a static IP, then set up around 10 ID numbers that connect to repeater. Much much easier. =)

Re: Garbage in "host" list with 25+ entries
I get the same thing. Guess you're the first to ever want more than ~30 connections, eh? lol
But yes, I agree it's probably a buffer overflow of some sorts. Mine actually adds some garbage on almost every line.

Re: If machine loses connection to DC, won't authenticate lo
As far as I know, you either use the MS-Login or the VNC authentication. If such a "fall-back" authentication was in place, it may defeat the extra security that using MS-Login provides, in my opinion.
From what (little) I've heard, MS-Login is still being tweaked. You might add something about ...

Re: Updated UVNC SC v1.0.2 OnlineCreator?
7-zip will do it, if the archive isn't solid. If it's solid, unpack all files, replace the files you want, re-pack and then make self-extracting.
There are guides in the forums about manually making SC with 7-zip.
And I'm not sure if replacing vnchooks.dll will break anything. The winvnc.exe WILL ...

Hm, I see I'm not alone now.
I use encryption on port 1720 (VoIP port). That port is usually not limited.
See my last post in this thread:

Ps. What ISP do you have? Might help others on your ISP realize what's wrong. I'm Cebridge (www.cebridge.net).

Wow, I was right. My ISP is speed-limiting port 5500. I guess because they saw how much data I had been using over that port. My ISP really really sucks!
I changed the port to 1720, the standard VoIP port which usually isn't limited. Works like a charm. So, anyone having drastic speed problems with ...

I usually have it use Auto, but a few times (including last time) I right-clicked the Listening viewer and went to Default Options and told it to use Tight with 64 colors. Then I told the person to run my SC. That should essentially do the same thing, right? I'm assuming you think there's not enough ...

Okay, I've ruled out SC. It's not SC's fault. It's something with my machine. I just have no idea what. I contacted a friend and had her run my latest build. No good. She then asked if she should "delete the old one" - to which I realized she still had an old copy of my SC that had previously worked ...

But yeah, it just sits at loading, and eventually will freeze. If I let it sit for another minute or two, I'll get the screen, but it will be so slow it is unusable. I'll click the start menu, and nothing for another minute. And this is over 384k cable connections. Shouldn't be this bad, especially ...

I agree - at least make the View Only "checked" in the right-click menu like some of the other features.akaidiot wrote:I'd like a quick and easy way to see if I'm in view mode or not. My suggestion is to add [View mode] in the titlebar when it's set to view only.

Haha, I actually do this already. Every program I've tried is so slow to update the webcam. So I just have both computers run the video locally, and then we use UVNC to remote in and select that window. It's almost real-time.
