Re: LogMeIn Free Discontinued!

Actually, LMI Central accounts can still use LMI Free clients. It's only those who were using LMI Free without paying who can no longer use LMI Free.

Re: ChunkVNC - Free Windows and Mac Instant Support Tool!

So, what are people doing to traverse firewalls when all ports are closed except 80 and 443?
Try LogMeIn from http://www.logmein.com/ ... free for personal use, and it bypasses firewalls and NAT routing transparently.

I haven't seen any complaints about people using it in their business as I don ...

Re: SC is too slow to update when used for Vista and Windows

what the vncviewer version do you have ?
did you try with new ultra vncviewer 1.0.8.2 ?
Just did my first Win7 SC support episode using viewer 1.0.8.2 here and it was unusably slow.

The winvnc.exe in my SC is the one from 2007:

Is there a newer winvnc ...

Re: UltraVNC SC Generator

:D THANK YOU ! You allowed me to rebuild my old SC into a modern one using Adam's SecureVNCPlugin.dsm, and it WORKS!

All I did was copy his SecureVNCPlugin.dsm over your MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm and not set a key-file. I now have encrypted UltraVNC SC working.

Kudos to you, sir! :D

Re: update old sc (online creator) update 27/08

Feature request: allow us to upload our own DSM (I'd like to use Adam Walling's SecureVNCPlugin.dsm). I just created a new SC and then (after it had un7-zipped itself) copied SecureVNCPlugin.dsm over the included MSRC4Plugin.dsm in the %TEMP%\7zxxx.tmp folder. I was then able to connect securely to ...

Javaviewer won't connect through firewall

I've tested the Java Viewer against my Ultr@VNC server running inside my network and it works fine -- I can connect to http://ip.ad.re.ss:5800/, the Java client loads, and all is good. However, I can't connect from outside the firewall (an IPCop box). I've tried from both Mac (OS X 10.5, both ...

The buildin encryption use DH key-exchange
This tells me nothing about the underlying technology ... so do many modern crypto systems. I'm looking for something documented about the encryption, like I can find about Blowfish or Twofish or AES ....
