No differences between quickoption LAN and AUTO. From now on, i will always use LAN switch.

I have a similar problem.

Connection is lost when the user disconnect, but i can't reconnect until login again (when i have the "ctrl+alt+del" vnc viewer hang on "negotiate protocol version).


Server (installed as a service) and viewer version are 1.0.9.5. I use MS logon II, but the problem exist ...

Let's recapitulate: you got two different servers, one has Windows XP with AESv2 and another one has Windows XP with AESv3? Do those servers have 32- or 64 bit Windows installed?

And to the clients - you're talking about 200+ - what Windows do they have installed - Windows 64-bit?

vncviewer, use any quick option except Auto (not stable until 1.0.8.1)

aesv2 was never worked on vista except when running vncviewer as compatibility mode for xp

right click on vncviewer.... left click Properties.... tab Compatibility

I have ultravnc 1.0.8.0 x64 that comes with SecureVNC plugin. But i can't connect to client that are using AESv3/v2 plugin. Viewer remain in "Negotiate protocol version".

Another thing: the scanner report some windows 2000 machine as false positive.
I see some pc without vnc, after the scan in the list of scanned items.
I've tried scanning only 5900 port but the result still remain the same.

This is already implemented by using the nbtstat.exe but for some reason it doesn't work on some PCs. Check to see if you have it in your system folder (for WinXP it is \Windows\System32)
I'm trying to do it without using the nbtstat.exe, but still no luck. :(
