hi am having problems testing dns name for use in helpdesk for sciii.
if someone has the time and has sciii (ssl) and would not mind using my dns name in the helpdesk.txt, to connect to my repeater, could you make contact . i am ++1 gmt (germany).

thanx for the thought, funnily enough the pc1 which works did not have windows automatic update option ticked, but the pc that does not connect did have windows automatic updates ticked.. os is xp pro sp2.

will try reinstallation without updates ...will let u know. i hope this is not really the ...

I have a ssl repeater -viewer on pc1 which works fine i.e. viewer is connected to repeater, giving the output "negotiating protocol" in readiness for SC to connect to repeater from a remote pc.

However, have copied exactly same setup to pc2 on same lan, closed all applications on pc1. But this time ...

Have followed this for a while and am in the stages of testing using SSL. Have previousley used offline z_ssl_sc to create sc.exe, this works fine both lan and wan, with and without dsmplugin.

For ssl helpdesk.txt two ip address are used in offical format i.e.

-id 12345 -sslproxy -connect ...

Have tried for ages to be able to compile customised offline SC Client.exe. The only available foundation I have found as been luk.o generous freely available Z_SC_luk_mod_r2.
