I checked my 5500 port, and it says:

Your ISP is not blocking port 5500

However,
I do get a pop-up saying:

Connection failed - Error reading ...

my router ip: 10.1.1.1
my machine ip: 10.1.1.12 (the machine giving support, running viewer)
other machine: 10.1.1.7 (the machine needing support)
