viewer64B, server 32b; insecure connection

Post by evelein »

Hello,

I've been browsing the forum to find an answer to the following, but could not find any.

I've just upgraded both viewer and server to latest version 1.0.9.6.1

Viewer = 64B
Use DSMPlugin = SecureVNCPlugin64.dsm
When clicking config on DSMPlugin all options are greyed out.
One line appears on top: server will automatically create new private key.

Server = 32B
Use DSMPlugin = SecureVNCPlugin.dsm
When clicking config on DSMPlugin all options are available. Default = enabled.
Two lines appears on top: server will automatically create new private key + server will authenticate clients using pre-share public key.

When making a connection from viewer to server, I get the message:
Accept insecure connection.
You have specified an encryption plugin, however this connection is unencrypted ! Do you want to continue?

My question is: although I enabled both viewer + server to use DSMplugin, it does not seem to work. How do I get this right ??

Many thanks in advance.

Has anyone had any luck with this? I think the issue is related to not not generating the key properly. I saw somewhere else you had to rename it to rc4.key then rename it back to its original and recompile the exe.
