The Plugin could not be loaded. Please check its integrity.

Post by dderemer422 »

I installed UltraVNC 1.00RC20.5 and UltraVNC 1.00 on a couple of Windows XP Pro machines (and one 2003 Server) this weekend. I installed both versions starting with 1.00RC20.5 and then uninstalling and installing 1.00. I cannot, for the life of me, get the plugin to work. The version is 1.18 and it is installed in the plugin folder under the ultravnc folder by the UltraVNC installer. I even tried downloading the zipped 1.18 package and installed it manually. I cannot get the UltraVNC Server to recognize the plugin. Under the DSM plugin section in the Admin Properties, it displays "No Plugin detected...". When I check the box next to it and click the "Config" button, I get the error that I put in the title of this thread which is "The Plugin could not be loaded. Please check its integrity." I went to the UltraVNC folder in C:\Program Files and check the permissions. Administrators (I am logged on as Administrator) has full control and I gave Authenticated users full control as well as CREATOR OWNER on the root UltraVNC folder as well as the plugin folder and everything in it. Is there something I am missing. Also, these are all machines with XP SP2 and the 2003 server has SP1, could that have anything to do with it? Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Dan DeRemer

You need to manual copy the plugin you want to use in the exe directory.
Plugins need to be the same on server and viewer site.
To prevent this mistake, and overwrite of existing plugins, manual copy is needed.

We will add a readme in the plugin directory, as it is not clear .

Ok, Thanks. Now that you mention it, I remember reading that somewhere around the time RC18 was released. Thanks

An extra space between the -dmsplugin and the msrc4plugin_noreg.dsm in the shortcut command line will also cause the error about checking the name integrity. Found that one out the hard way. Seems like that is a command line parsing error in vncviewer executable.

An error of spelling name of your plugin "MSRC4Plugin_NoReg" as example also provokes this error about checking the name integrity
the viewer don't check if the plugin filename loaded really exist or not.

example:
your plugin name is "MSRC4Plugin_NoReg"

"msrc4plugin_noreg" spelling name is OK and fully accepted
"msrc4pluginnoreg" spelling wrong, NOK there "_" (underscore) missing but not reported as error from vncviewer

vnc viewer direct connection encrypted to vnc server
bevtech wrote:I use Ultra VNC 1.0.1

I created shortcuts for use with my viewer.

Target: "C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -connect 192.168.0.1::5901 -dsmplugin msrc4plugin_noreg.dsm

Start in: "C:\Program Files\UltraVNC"

I only copied the *.dsm files to the UltraVNC directory instead of plugin directory..

I have never specified the plugin path and mine all worked great
or

vnc viewer setting accept reverse connection from vnc server with encryption
lexe wrote: my shortcut now looks like this

target: "C:\Programme\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe -dsmplugin MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm -listen 5500"

start in: "C:\programme\utravnc"

everything works great now!
