NT, 95, 98 Problems

Post by patcho »

Hi All,

Where do i start here.
Think it all relates to the same problem. Can't get MS-Logon I to work with anyone who is not an administrator.

I have created a global group called VNCuser and have a number of people in this group. None can access the servers via VNC, it says wrong password. If i add these users to Domain Admins (which is a member of Local Administrator group) They can connect fine.

in the mslogon properties i have melimage\VNCuser with domain ticked.

any ideas?

Have same issue when trying to run on 95,98 PC's so i am just leaving REALvnc on these.

See http://doc.uvnc.com/features/authentication.html
There are also links to the mentioned tools.
To use MS Logon I under Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows Millennium Edition, you also have to enable the NTLM security services by opening Control Panel, Network, Access Control, and then selecting User-level access control. Win 9.x require 2 dlls radmin32.dll and rlocal32.dll this can be found in the nexus.exe.
On NT, you could give MS-Logon II a try.
On Windows NT 4, you need at least SP4 and the security configuration manager installed.
