Okay I can login fine WITHOUT the MS login turned on - however when I turn it ON I can still login ok but I CANNOT see the screen!

If I log in with remote desktop top before I make the VNC connection, I CAN see the screen!

bizarre... I've added 'Administrators' to the logins bit with all rights, and I've tried logging in as my local user and computer\user...

oh you are running RDP before you are trying UVNC..

If someone is using RDP and you try to connect via UVNC then you will have to reboot the pc before you can connect again..

Also are you running the winvnc servers as application or service mode?

I think we first should get 1.0.1 working fine in your case before trying 1.0.2
There are several things that seem unrelated to me:
- Using ms-logon or classic authentication
Could you please specify which ms-logon (I or II) you are using.
- Remote Desktop: If you can connect but see no screen this should be independent of auth method (ms-logon or classic auth).

MS Logon I = Require MS logon
MS Logon II = New MS Logon
