UAC Problems

Post by colangpa »

Hi All,
I am wondering if there is away to get around being locked out of UAC prompts with SC VNC?

I know that when I install UltraVNC as a service this problem does not occur, but that is not a valid solution for SC (that i am aware of).

Does anyone know of how to get full functionality with Vista/7?

Thanks

The SC version 2009 has a special option to temp disable UAC for administartor.

You still need to press it once ( on startup) to allow "non uac for admin" but after that you can run system programs without the popup.

Both SCPrompt and ChunkVNC are based on UltraVNC, similar to SC, and can be installed as a service. I'm not sure how many UAC clickthroughs they need though.
