Using SCIII with a proxy

Post by Galileo »

Can anybody help me to drive with some examples to establish a connection behind a proxy.

I have followe an example to use the UVNC repeater and starting SCIII_test4.exe and vncviewer_crash_fix.exe on the same Pc, but vncviewer automatically it's closing itself, and what I have to enter in the field :

-Vnc Server ?

Is right the flag on Proxy/Repeater and the value of : uvnc.com:443.

Many thanks.

if vncviewer close immediately when you try to use repeater uvnc.com:443
it mean, repeater down !
you need to wait Admin of server would wake-up repeater again.

Is it possible for you to create your own repeater at your site? I have had the best luck when I use my own. If everyone tries to use the vnc repeater at the same time I am sure there would be some conflicts with ports (ID numbers etc). Plus you wouldn't have to worry about bothering the admins of the repeater when it is not working properly. I thought that repeater was for only testing purposes. Not for everyday use.

The SSL port 443 repeater has to be ported directly of a public IP address. It doesnt respond kindly to double natting (especially when you dont have control of the first NAT Table) A good place to start is the FAQ it took me a quite a few days to get mine working properly but like the saying goes "Rome was't built in a day
