Certificate.pem

Post by horizonuser »

I downloaded the code from the latest SCIII section. This includes a certificate.pem. I have included this in my repeater directory and also in the client directory (before comiling).
Can anyone tell me how secure this? Can I add my own certificate?
thanks

I am pretty sure it is the same level of security as the 128bit ssl as used in online banking. I asked the same question when SCIII first came out and still am using the pem that came with it. I dont think we can chanbe it at this time when it is release from beta I am hoping that we will have that option..:)

@bevtech: that's not right!

i already created my own certificate.pem and i am pretty sure i found the solution somewhere here in the forum. since this certification file inherits the private key, it is very unsecure imho to use the given/downloadable one in a professional environment.

if someone is really interested in knowing how to do it, send me an pm...
