Let me see if I understand this.

Post by Shaba1 »

Sometimes it hard to understand some of the post here on this forum

#1 SCIII operates with encryption over port 443 Correct?
# 2 It wil allow the tech to control the clients computer even if both of them are behind a firewall. Correct?
#3 It does that by using a special repeater running at UVNC.COM. Correct?
# 4 IF the repeater at UVNC.com is not working a person can set up their own repeater as any internet connected computer by using a program call ssl_proxy.exe. Correct.

I am asking this becasue I really need a VNC solution that will get past the clients firewall and my own since I normally connect from WiFi connection which I have no control over.

#1, yes
#2 yes but only proxy over port 1080 or 443 and not requesting USER/PASSWORD
meaning only allowed partial support of SOCKS5
#3, yes, but you can host your own repeater_ssl at your home DeMilitarized Zone of your router or virtual server opening port 443 to Internet.
#4, yes, correct like I answer above.

I ask Rudi for fully support SOCK5 with USER/PASSWD and not only partial as actual of PcHelpWare, you should really really apreciate a lot of better :-)

Hi Redge,

have I unterstand you right, that the vncviewer_ssl.exe can only
work with an https proxy, when this proxy don't ask for username
and password. Is this correct?

Marco

Shit, that will explain why it doesn't work in my company. Do you
know if this will be implemented in the future?

Hi,

I set SCIII the other day, and found it very frustrating, because there is no documentation, which seem to make sense!!! For those of us who don’t have IQ of 3722799197293222442. Me I’m about 2!

Any way I wrote up what I found, with loads of pictures (in colour) on then following URL.

:P This may help others, cause I nearly jumped out of the window, in frustration!!!
