I can get to the server fine, modify my PPT file, and then run the PPT Show. UltraVNC show everything even the automation - it's great. My issue is if I logout of that server - the PPT Show stops running, and the PPT application reverts back just as though I had pressed <ESC>.
Is there a setting that will allow me to disconnect the client from the server without that automated <ESC> and hence leave the PPT show running?
Thank you !

Running PowerPoint Show
Re: Running PowerPoint Show
I, too, have the same issue.
We run a PPT on a server without keyboard and mouse, and control it by connecting via vnc. Upon disconnect the presentation stops.
I need a solution to keep the presentation running (maybe switch to another vnc server; but I would love to stay with ultravnc).
Greatings,
Dave

Re: Running PowerPoint Show
Is nobody out there with the same problem, or somebody with a solution, or maybe somebody does know that there is no solution for ultravnc...

Is there not a solution for this? It would make my life a lot easier if there was a work around for this.
Anyone?
Anyone?

What is the server set to do "when last client disconnects" ? This is in the admin properties dialog.swphreak wrote:Is there not a solution for this? It would make my life a lot easier if there was a work around for this.

It interrupts the powerpoint when I connect too.
Anyone know if there's an alternative to VNC that will work for what I need?

Re: Running PowerPoint Show
I know this is an old topic but this was a match for my search so figured I would add in case it helps someone else.
What I was doing was double clicking the PPT presentation to open it and then pressing F5 to start the slide show. When I disconnected it would kick the window off of powerpoint and stop the slideshow.
So I used right click --> "Show" option on the PPT file and it stayed running after I disconnected. Hope that helps someone else.
