More than one user and one machine with multiple monitors

Post by ckchappell »

Hello. I was referred this software from another user when I posed the following situation below. Wanting to verify that this is possible with UltraVNC.

I am having to set up a a "situation room" here at work where 3 to 4 users each with their own laptops will need to connect to one PC that has 4 large LCDs attached to a wall. They each need to see what the other is doing in response to emergency-type situations. (Where each user's desktop is showing on one of the LCDs).

But I was told that with UltraVNC, for example, we would be able to connect each of the users to the PC and by "creating a viewing port to each of the laptops" with VNC we would be able to show each user's display on one of the LCDs.

I have no idea what a viewing port is, if this scenario sound possible I can figure that out.

Thanks much.

Win2VNC doesn't sound like the right way to go about this. I guess I don't see how Win2VNC will help 4 users display what they are doing on their laptops to the 4 LCDs monitors, respectively.
