Viewer Screen Glitch Preventing Use

Post by Karn »

After a bout of trial and error, I finally succeeded in setting up UltraVNC through Hamachi correctly and log in. However, the viewer screen consists of only the Viewer Toolbar copied over and over again vertically so that I cannot see the full screen. Each instance of the toolbar has a cursor that mirrors the path of the actual one, in such a way that it almost mirrors a multi-display. However, I only have one monitor active. I also tried to connect through JavaViewer and though I saw slightly more of the screen, the same problem existed. Is there any way to fix this? It is the last obstacle between me and a functioning VCN. And this is somewhat time-sensitive, so I would appreciate a response as soon as possible. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

I apologize for my inexperience but I do not see the option to do that in VNCViewer, VNCServer or Hamachi. Could you possibly be more specific? Thank you.

You are connecting to the UltraVNC Viewer to the UltraVNC Server running on the same machine. This is know as "loopback". Redge is suggesting that you use the remote IP for the VNC Server in the the UltraVNC Viewer window.

Since Hamachi puts you on the same LAN as the remote PC via a 5.*.*.* IP address, you'd need to use the remote PC's 5.*.*.* IP address for the VNC Server in the the UltraVNC Viewer window.

Actually, I was connected to a remote server, it just so happened to be on the same network as I was testing the connection before I went to college. Now that I'm there the glitch is gone so it must have been due to being on he same network. Thanks for your help guys.
