Today I installed UltraVNC 104RC4 plus add-ons on my Vista computer and UltraVNC 102 on my three XP computers. They are in a network with a Sitecom WL-153 MiMO XR Router. The Vista computer and one of the XP computers are cable connected, the two others wireless.
All computers can be approached by the VNC viewer from the one with Vista. The VNC viewers from the other computers give the same result.
However, when I want to transfer files from Vista to the wireless ones with XP, it won't work. The strange thing is that when I try to transfer files from one wireless laptop that gave problems to the other computers I don't receive an error message.
What can I do to make it work?
Thanks in advance,
HHarry

Re: File Transfer
wow that is an odd one. So the Xp box is not accepting file transfers
Just some ideas:
Make sure it is installed as service
Under the admin properites of the xp box make sure
that
File Transfer is enabled User Impersonation is enabled
Also make sure that the zip32.dll and the unzip32.dll are there

Re: File Transfer
Hallo Bevtech,
Here I am again. VNC was installed as service. On the two machines with the file transfer problem the files zip32.dll and unzip32.dll were in the VNC map, but not in the Windows/system32 map, while they were on the third XP machine that worked fine. After copying these files to the Windows map the problem was over.
Thank you very, very much for your advice, I really appreciate it.
Just one more question: I could not find the admin properties to check if File Transfer and User Impersonation were enabled. Where do I have to look for them?
HHarry.

Re: File Transfer
you need to stop uvnc service, then start winvnc as application
then checkbox of File Transfer is enabled User Impersonation
then checkbox of File Transfer is enabled User Impersonation
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home
