o.k. I try.
I have ultra vnc-server installed on my computer and the viewer on my notebook, both are connected via lan. in lan everything works well. Then I have installed the viewer on the computer of my girl friend (not in lan, connection over internet) and it seems to work well until I try to log in with the password. After I have done this the connection is closed with the message "connection closed". server computer can be reached by hostname (DynDNS) and the IP adress-update works well - so this is not the reason.
What could be the reason for this error message ?
Is it possible that the reason is that the computer of my girl friend is connected to internet by usb- modem (DSL) ? Or is it necessary to install DirectX9 on the client computer ?
thanks for answering !!

Could be a few things. A lot of EU countries are blocking ports above 1024 so the default ports are 5800 and 5900,
Firewalls can block this access as well make sure all the ports you need are open ..

I have opened the ports 5800, 5900 on my router (virtual server , port forwarding ...) - so that should be ok.
You mean that my ISP (provider) can block ports above 1024 ?? Maybe it works, if I use ports below 1024 ?
I will try . Thank you. Bye .

It is possible I would make sure that those ports are open
