After "a while" (it seems to be after about 13Mb has been transferred from the other m/c, but that's the nearest to any sensible common factor I can find), the connection locks up and/or gets broken and I can't can't reconnect.
The other m/c is running, if I connect a screen to it, everything's ok, although occasionally the cpu has been maxed out.
Both m/c's are running XP.
The older machine has a 1 GHz processor so it's not *ancient*.
I've installed UltraVNS as a service on it.
I'm trying to run Quicken on the old machine (can't get it transferred over to our newer ones), and more than one the problem has occurred when opening an invoice window on it, tho' I don't see that that should be an issue.
Both VNC's are just "out of the box", no video driver installed, I've not fiddled with the default settings.
I'm assuming there's a setting I should fiddle with, but can't see anything obvious. I have looked at all the FAQ's.
Can s'one help please?
Incidentally, I tried running the chat window, hoping that that would re-establish the connection, but it didn't, so I closed it. However, now I can't close VNC Viewer, it wants me to close the chat window before it will exit! I don't know (yet) what the situation is on the remove m/c, but on this m/c it is closed
