Greetings,
I have been searching these forums and google in general to the answer to this questiong but I cannot find it or figure it out myself.
I am using Ultra VNC to connect to a Windows 7 computer from my inside of my domain. This computer is fresh out of the box and I turned off all the firewall and security settings and everything. I can connect to it just fine after someone has logged in, but I need to use this computer as a simple file server in one of our sub-offices and it wont have a person using it.
Since its just a PC a not a server, I want the machine to restart every night, but when it gets to the windows login screen I cannot connect to it via uvnc computer name. Windows 7, unlike xp, wants someone to log in before I can connect to the computer.
I hope that someone can tell me if there is a way to connect to this Windows 7 computer without having a user log into it. If not, then at least I can stop spinning my wheels and figure out something else.
Thanks

Re: VNC to a Windows 7 computer before a user logs in.
install uvnc 1.0.8.x as service system and verify that log on uvnc_service as local system account
[ ]Allow service to interact with desktop (must be UNchecked)
if not installed (as computer administrator)
right click on winvnc system tray and install service
