Server Closed?

Post by Tally »

Installed for the first time this morning, trying to connect PC to Ipad. I thought I was following everything perfectly... just as I was thinking I was doing so well, it stopped loading and now says "ServerClosed"
It doesn't even appear to try to load anything now even after i totally shut down and reboot... Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks!!

I don't understand. UltraVNC doesn't run on the iPad. What software are you using on both machines, what application is reporting the "server closed" error, which machine is the server, and which machine is the client/viewer?

Well that's probably my problem then! Lol
I downloaded an app "dremote pc" and followed the instructions which led me to this product and well now I'm here.

I guess I'll try something else, thanks!

Chances are quite good that that "app" can be used to control your Windows PC running UltraVNC. (VNCs of various "flavors" are generally compatible with one another.)

(You don't have to try something else, but TightVNC is the leading similar free and open source VNC.)

What I would suggest, for testing purposes, is that you try to connect to your UltraVNC server from a different computer on your home network (running the UltraVNC viewer application), to see if the problem is with the UltraVNC PC or with your dremote app.
