I have the UltraVNC server installed on two different systems (remote). One computer is Windows XP Pro, the other has Windows 7.
When accessing the Win XP Pro computer, I am able to remotely control that computer. The UVNC server responds perfectly. When I display admin properties on that server, the title bar is "WinVNC: Local System Properties".
When accessing the Windows 7 computer, I cannot do anything on that computer -- no mouse control and the Win 7 monitor image is frozen with whatever is on the screen when the viewer accesses it. Since I'm accessing remotely, I asked someone to right click on the sever icon and display the admin properties. Then using the VNC viewer, I again accessed that computer. The page that is displayed says "UltraVNC Server Property Page". This content of the displayed Server Property page is similar but in a different format from the Local Systems Properties page.
I installed VNC on the XP computer a year ago. I installed VNC on the Win 7 computer last week. My viewer was installed a year ago. What have I done wrong on the Win 7 VNC causing it to only give me one static look at the server and no control... and display the server property page instead of the local system properties.
Thank you,

Re: Server Property page comes up rather than local system p
The problem has been solved.
The Disable Aero support is the default setting in UltraVNC. Unchecking that box solved the problem of the VNC window opening in Service mode without any user input capability.
