Computer in another country

Post by eljon »

Hey
Is it possible to connect with computer in another country? I want to help my family in Germany. Can I use this UVNC to do so? Of course I have no idea how to do it.
tnx

Yes, it's absolutely possible, that's what it's designed for. (The Internet, generally, doesn't care whether a machine is next door or across the globe.)

Please read through the documentation and the FAQ. The trickiest part is configuring your family's router appropriately.

But if you're not particularly "techie" you would probably find LogMeIn Free or Teamviewer easier to use.

Glad I found this post. I have family that are missionaries in Mexico and I was looking for a way to connect computers. I'll take a look at the documentation and the FAQ. Also check out the other recommendations since I'm not a "techie".
