Cannot get any of my changes to be saved in Admin Properties

Post by MrSnrub »

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. I have UltraVNC Server running in the system tray. I right-click the icon and go to Admin Properties. I uncheck "Require MS Logon (User/Pass/Domain)" and click OK. If I right-click the UltraVNC icon the System Tray again and open Admin Properties again, the "Require MS Logon" is still checked. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Depending on your policys a local service can impersonate the desktop user or net.
If impersonation fail you don't have permission to save the options

workaround
1) uvnc_settings.exe is a seperate ini file editor ( winvnc need to be restart or service stop/start, before changes take effect)
or
2) logon as local admin and use systray icon
or
3) Run winvnc as application ( not stop uvnc_service, start winvnc.exe, net start uvnc_service)
