UltraVNC Screen Refershing / Relocking

Postby glenbanyard » 2017-11-03 11:46

Basic coming across odd issue where UltraVNC connection to certain machines is refreshing / re-locking the screen.

Scenario:
Machine A - Running Windows 10 Creators
Machine B (Target) - Running Windows 10 Creators

Machine A open UltraVNC Viewer, put in machine and when prompted for password, enter it, screen renders, and randomly between a few second to 10 seconds the screen refreshes, if you can put the remote machine password in, it logs into the profile, then within 10-15 seconds the screen refreshes and logged back out of the remote machine and back to the Windows 10 login page.

Tried:
Stopping / restarting the service - No Effect
Switching from Auto on Setting - No Effect

Any help advice gratefully received

Please check the server option "When last client disconnect" is not set to lock.

VNC connect to the logon screen
You enter the credentials ( secure desktop)
OS start desktop ( user desktop)
Service restart server on the new desktop

Restart is a disconnect and does what you selected.
When last client disconnect option is not compatible with all OS's
(*) Do nothing
() Lock
() Logoff

Thanks for the info, sorry for the delayed response, annual leave.

We will monitor the situation, as a note, the issue disappears if the machine is restarted, and at present all machines we do have vnc on are not reproducing this issue.
