Strange problem with applications hanging VNC "unhangs" them

Hi,

I am an IT Technician for a school. We have uVNC installed on all of our client PC's. For the last 2-3 weeks we have had a big problem with our registration software (PARS .net - An application which works with SIMS .net) and interactive whiteboard software (SMART Notebook 10) hanging and pushing the CPU up to 50% constantly while frozen. (Both applications turn white when this happens.)

We have tried loads of different things to solve the issue but are yet to find anything which works. I have now discovered that if I connect to a computer with uVNC while one (or both) of the above applications have frozen, they suddenly unfreeze and the CPU usage drops back to normal. I can then open and close the appications as many times as I like with no problems. As soon as I disconnect uVNC the applications both hang again.

So far I have only tried this on one PC. I am waiting for a report of another hanging so that I can try it on that PC aswell. I'm not sure what server version is running on the PC at the moment and I haven't uninstalled uVNC to see if it resolves the problem because I want to try to find another PC to test this theory on first.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

uVNC server is 1.0.2
Viewer I used (which is not installed on the server PC) is 1.0.5
