Remote input (kb/mouse) hosed during VNC session

Post by scrass571 »

I have been having problems with the remote keyboard/mouse input getting hosed if the remote user accesses the keyboard/mouse while I am in an active VNC session. Sometimes the users are unaware that I am connected and they will move the mouse or type. Then after I disconnect (or set to view only) the remote keyboard does not work and the mouse buttons are swapped on the remote mouse until the remote computer is restarted.

I have tried to compensate by setting the viewer to 'view only' when I first connect to be sure no users are at the computer before I take control.

It's happening on Windows XP and Windows 7 desktops. We are running version 1.0.9.6.1.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Is there a combination of settings on viewer to prevent this condition?

Thanks,

Shaun
