auto-install with all options set

Post by fledermaus »

Hi there,

I have a network WITHOUT a server and use all different windowsversions (98, NT, 2000 en Xp).
I'm trying Ultravnc but I dont want to put it on all the pc's manually.

Is it possible to make an installationfile so I can just execute that file on every pc so every option is correctly set (including pwd, removetrayicon etc...)?

thanks

Make sure the registry is backed up.
Try regedit, All vnc settings are under HKEY_Local_machine\ORL
You could export that file and then run it on the server.
Sorry, don't really know much more than that. 8)

Hi,
I am working on a similar project... I exported HKey_Local_Machine\Software\ORL, but when I import this reg file onto a test workstation and run the GUI admin of UltraVNC it shows "Require MS Login" checked, but not the groups I entered in on my original machine...

Is this information stored somewhere else in the registry??

Thanks,
- LD
