Logging capabilities question

Post by AdamS »

I'm trying to find out what happens if two users connect simultaneously to a computer running UVNC when it comes to logging.

I was logged into a clients computer remotely, and a second person was logged in at the same time from a different location. I was watching the cursor move around, emails being read and marked as unread etc.

On checking the event logs I can clearly see only a single IP address logged for this date/time.

If two connections happen simultaneously (or near enough to) will UVNC only log one connection, or should it be able to log both?

I'm looking into the possibility that the second person was within the same network but I'm not sure if this was the case or not.

PS the registration question and the question we have to answer before posting

When i'm correct all incoming connections are logged... i need to test it myself to be sure.
Keep in mind that you can also have an outgoing connection, you can instruct the winvnc.exe to make a connection to a viewer.
An outgoing connection isn't logged as it is initiated by the server PC.
