I have been searching for a report support application for some time. I found UltraVNC and PcHelpWare awhile back but today is the day I have decided to set it up and give it a whirl.
I'm a little confused regarding latest versions, repeaters with web guis, older versions...please help!
My goal is to setup a Windows 2008 repeater with the servers\viewers being mostly Windows 7 with hopes the solution will support WIndows 8 as it becomes more used.
I downloaded the PcHelpWare package and it seems to be version 1. I dug around and found later versions of the Repeater and the latest seemed to have a web gui.
I tried setting that up using admin\admin as user name and password as instructed by the pop-up window but that did not seem to work.
SO after more digging I found an older version of the repeater 1.0.8 and that is what is configured now.
I setup the repeater, server, and viewer accourding to this doc.

I was able to get a server, and a viewer to use the repater (all internal lan for testing) and the connection was made.
However, the screen did not refrssh on my viewer when the server PC made changes and I could not remote control the server.
CHat did not seem to show on either PC as well.
I am assuming this is due to a version issue.
Can anyone guide me to the latest versiosn of files I need for PCHeloWare to work in a current environment and what the username\password default is for the latest repeater version etc?
The website seems very confusing and a lot of the information seems somewhat out of date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
