I have a problem by where I cannot connect to any machine over the internet unless they add me as a client, there are no firewalls anywhere I have tried through my browser and through the viewer software but still no joy. all the settings are the same as they are when i connect over my LAN, I am running XP pro and trying to connect to both win 98 and xp servers.
any help appreciated!

Are you connecting my name or IP Address? If your using a name then maybe your computer can't translate the name correctly. If your using address it sounds like you somehow have a firewall up. I would use angryip to verify your port is open.
