Howdy,
We're just looking for a simple way to control one machine from another and I've always used UltraVNC for things like that. Difference is we want to tie it to Active Directory accounts so that only certain people can connect.
The documentation I found online was referring to Windows XP and Server 2003 so it seemed quite old and I wasn't sure if it was still valid or not. I'm looking to connect FROM Windows 7 or Windows 8 and TO a Windows 7 box running the VNC Server.
I can go to the MS logon page but then how does it work? I can't seem to bring up a listing of my AD groups so do I just type in the name manually? If I want to add the "Domain Admins" group do I just type in "Domain Admins" and check the Domain checkbox? Does it do any sort of verification that I've typed in a valid group name or anything like that?
Just looking for some more details on exactly how this is supposed to work.

It just check if a user belong to a predefined group
new mslogon
When i'm correct we set a value to a reg key. ( The standard window permissions on this key are used to determ the access of the user)
The user/passwd used to logon is checked against this key settings.
You better use the new mslogon for AD, it's just based on reg key permissions.
