uVNC Server Delay Windows 10

Post by khisel »

Upgraded to Windows 10 100240 (RTM but they don't use that term) and the uVNC server still takes a while to log into from another terminal. In other words logging into a Win 10 machine takes about 10 seconds while all the Win 7 terminals take 0 seconds. I tried uninstall/install, etc. I finally stopped the service and installed a competitor VNC server. Bingo, login was instantaneous. I was just going to chuck uVNC but soon realized that especially the viewer is FAR superior in so many ways so currently I'm running just the two Win 10 boxes with the competitor VNC service and uVNC everywhere else on the network.

Any ideas on why there's a delay logging into a Win 10 box with uVNC but not another VNC service?

What options are you using ?
What do you see the first 10sec ( gray/black screen )

Testing with win10 but can't repeat it, so it have to be something in combinations with some options.
