We have a windows embedded 7 standard terminal, where we run some industrial GUI software. We have UltraVNC server installed (1.8.x) and our application is a .NET 4 WPF application. Everything works and we can access the screen using Ultravnc client on any PC.
However, when our application show a modal dialog box (WPF Windows in modal dialog), it is not show over VNC. Locally the dialog is there and working. But I don't see it using UltraVNC. Therefore I can't enter information and can't dismiss it...
I experimented with various settings of the window (owner, show in task bar, ...) but i can't get it to be displayed over VNC.
Any idea what might be the problem?

1.8.x..... do you have a capture alphblending parameter in the server options ?
In older version this is a manual vncserver parameter.

CAPTUREBLT:
Includes any windows that are layered on top of your window in the resulting image. By default, the image only contains your window. Note that this generally cannot be used for printing device contexts.
