Hi, this is my first post here
I am looking for a vnc server which could be launched without any installation. I've tried SC, but the fact that it is using the "listening" mode does not suit my needs - I would like the server to simply listen for incoming connections on a prespecified port. My question is this: is there a way to use the server portion of the UltraVNC package without any installation? I do not need it to run as a service. I couldn't find a portable version of the server, although I did find the common uses of fastpush along with some cmd line options for the installer.
So before I dive into this solution, is there another way? Can I simply take winvnc.exe (plus vnchooks.dll?) and use it?
Thanks!

Re: Portable version of server
The server is portable, just copy the folder to a usb stick.
min required
winvnc.exe
ultravnc.ini ( config, passwd)
not required, but make it faster ( w8hook Win8>=)
vnchook.dll
schook.dll
w8hook.dll
