VNC not working anymore when on VPN

Hi there,

I don't think this is a VNC related issue but I don't really know who to ask and maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

Suddenly my Windows 7 PC is acting up when VNC - or Putty - is used when on a VPN connection.
UltraVNC is either reporting wrong user name and password or it opens the window to then drop the connection after a few seconds. Sometimes, it opens half of the screen and the rest of the screen is corrupted.

I had a chance to inspect the VNC server when UltraVNC client reported wrong user name and password and indeed the server reports wrong user name and password. TightVNC also reports wrong user name and password. Yes, the password is right (as said, sometimes it works).

Putty connects but after seconds it severes the connection saying the encryption has been garbled.

I am checking for virus and malware, so far nothing.
I have reinstalled the VPN software, which has reinstalled the drivers as well.
I am using two different VPN software, same issue.
I am connecting to different sites.
If I use a different PC to connect, everything works fine.
If I connect via VNC locally, all works.

There must be something wrong on the VPN side of the story but I cannot find out what is wrong.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi, I have the same issue, connexion will open and after few second close... Impossible to work behind our VPN (CheckPoint SSL)

Wich version of VNC did you use... We used the 1.2.0.5 version. I think I tested the version 1.2.0.6 few month ago but not sure...

Not test the latest version 1.2.0.9
