ZoneAlarm pop-ups now unclickable (all else works)

Post by Rem0ter »

This is on a Windows 7 Pro set which has been working well with UVNC for years, always with Zone Alarm active also. All along, remote sessions had always been working fine.

Suddenly, however, the same (AFAIK) setup has begun to turn any pop-ups (or any elements) of Zone Alarm totally inactive from remote session. They are on-screen but clicking on them is useless. It only happens with the Zone Alarm items; nothing else that I know so far.

Most of the time, this ruins the session until someone acts on the local PC screen, which itself is working normally, and clicks off the ZA elements. Today I upgraded to most recent version of UVNC to no effect.

All ideas will me most welcome and appreciated.

Are you running as service ?
If not, start winvnc.exe with run as admin, it looks like a UAC protection

Yes, as service. I will look into the UAC angle. Thanks!

As service, uvnc has already elevated permissions.

Then it looks like some zonealarm has some functionality to reject software key injection.
