uVNC display quality seems to be highly compressed

Post by karniner »

Hello,
after updating to newest uVNC 1.2.1.0-64 there seems to be a display issue while interacting with two Win7prof-64 computers:
Mirror driver is installed, its checking is ok.

If connecting to uVNC server, remote display shows an incredible bad quality. Quality reminds to very strong .JPG compression, fonts are not readable, pls refer to attached screenshot:

Playing around with 'connection options' did not solve my issue.

How to get a usable display quality for remote session?

Thx for hints + best regards, k.

As you said, the jpeg quality is bad.

1) increase jpeg quality: viewer option -> jpeg quality :)
2) Use an encoder that doesn't use jpeg ( only u2 encode is pure jpeg)

Looking at your image it could also be that the scaling is the cause of it.
[v] scale server to window
Disable this and you get a 1:1 with scrollbars

Ok, I did try:
Viewer size/pos: NO Auto, 86%
Server Screen Scale by: 1/1
NO Scale server to window
<< That's the bringer, working.

Thx...
