Mirror driver stalls minimized Firefox (one cpu core 100%)

Post by Maniaxx »

Hallo,
when connecting uvnc (Android/client) with Win7-64bit desktop (server with mirror driver) and Firefox32 minimized (v46.0.1) one cpu core immediately raises to 100% and keeps there until Firefox gets restored again. This doesn't happen with Firefox non-minimized (normal state) or mirror driver disabled. Just switching/disabling Aero manually doesn't trigger the bug. Disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox doesn't help either. I also tried different polling modes in uvnc but no change there as well.

Is there anything you can do with the mirror driver to prevent that behavior?

Edit: Will have to check more in-depth. When using new Firefox profile that bug doesn't appear...
Edit2: Looks like its the 'blank page' for new tab feature of TabMixPlus. Replacing it with 'about:blank' seems to fix it.

Thank's for the edits, this is something you can look for a long time to find it.
The mirror driver has no options and realy hard to debug, special when it trigger a behaviour in another app.

I guess Firefox re-initializes its render engine when Aero switches and when there's a blank page something goes wrong (even though i cannot replicate it when i manually switch Aero).
No big deal though. I can handle it manually by closing Firefox when not needed.
