Mslogon.log file and option DefaultScale

Post by valsedenoel »

Hello everyone,

I finally post because I've found nothing about two issues I encountered.

First of all, I work on 1.2.0.9 UltraVNC release, and Windows Seven x64 and x86 versions.

Here are my two issues :
- In one hand, I want to redirect mslogon.log (initially located in c:\Program Files\UltraVNC) to a directory created by local Administrator ("C:\POSTE"), but it doesn't work (I've modified the "path" option in ultravnc.ini).
I don't think it can be a rights issue, but maybe ?
- In the other hand, when I change the DefaultScale to 0 (1 by default), I have the following error when I try to connect : "the server running as application".

I hope someone will help me.

Thanks by advance.

vnc_launch.exe allow to save user/password. The launcher use an exncrypted file to save settings.

defaultscale 0 ---> device by 0 -> crash

Thanks a lot for your fast answer !

Ok, I understand for defaultscale.
Why I have to use vnc_launch ? I just want to redirect a log file. Can you explain more ?
And I don't find any vnc_launch.exe, maybe his name's changed ?

UPps missed something, i though you wanted to save mslogen user/passwd in the .vnc file.
I red your post to fast ..

NOT possible, it's written in the same folder as winvnc.exe. (hardcoded)
You can only set a path for the winvnc.log.

The access logging is also saved as standard windows event,

No problem :)

Ok, I will find an other way.
Winvnc.log isn't "complete" enough, I need IP address in my log.

Thank you so much for details.
