Connect from outside BUT in LAN is many UVNC servers!

Post by IdolwSzutrab7 »

Right, I am using teen years different software for remote control (yea that blue paid bitch, free for private user but not at work).
I am thinking about moving on UltraVNC.

The main question is:
In my private LAN network I have many computers. On all of them I installed UltraVNC with server. Everything works beautiful until I am connected to my private LAN network. Sooo... What about if I connect to my work network? How can I connect to my computers? All of them have same WAN IP (because are at my home). How can I connect to computer #1? How can I choice which computer at home I would like to connect? I have for all of them set up special port in the router? Or I can write something like that: 0.0.0.0:Computer1 ? or maybe 0.0.0.0:192.168.1.100 ? Zero, zero, zero, zero is my WAN IP.

Tell me that I can do it by easy way and I don't need set up own port for each machine? :tomato:

Port forwarding Nat router
---------------------------------
The easiest way is to forward ports on your nat router.
5900 -> pc1:5900
5901 -> pc2:5901
Remote, you connect to 0.0.0.0:port of pc

Repeater
-------------
An other solution is to use a repeater on the outsite ( dmz).
In that case both viewer and server connect to the repeater, the only official ip need to be the repeaters ip address.
In that case the viewer connect to ip repeater:code and the code is the same number as you pass with the server.

Right, I guessed that I need new port for new machine and all need to be forwarded.
It works but not in my company where I work. I mean the main port is not blocked (I think, because main port works) 5900. But when I want connect to 5901 then I can not. (I know it works because I checked on mobile net). Of course I can choice other port and maybe I will do it.

But I think about that repeater. Can you tell me exactly how to configure it? My LAN looks like this:
  • MAIN MODEM from ISP (my WAN IP)
    • My MAIN ROUTER (and my DHCP)
      1. Main PC (static/tower computer) IP 0.0.0.100 (I leave default port for server, 5900)
      2. My private laptop IP 0.0.0.101 (I setup port 5901)
      3. Laptop of my parents IP 0.0.0.102 (I setup port 5902)
I run repeater on the Main PC.

When I try to connect any of these computers with interial IP via my WAN IP as repeater/proxy then I have to wait and wait and wait and nothing.

Could you tell me what I do wrong with that repeater?
There is no options for repeater.
