enable/disable remote input/monitor

Post by maxime »

Hello guys,

Im writing here for some help about the "enable/disable remote input/monitor option" offers from uvnc-viewer:

1. Could I require it from a command line with an -(option)? I've tried something just like -noinput -disableinput but none of them works

2. Is there an option in the server side we can just turn the local monitor off, without waiting for a requirement but just listening of the connection, of cause it's not really off but use a black background image?

3. If none of the 1 or 2 is possible, I'm ok to click it from the gui menu, but each time i logoff from a user to login with another( switch from public user to admin), the remote desktop lost his connection, so I've to reconnect and redo the click to send a blank screen, and the local monitor will show my desktop for a little moment, that's not cool... Any idea to keep the blank monitor until a restart for example?

Thanks for ur attention

1) 2) There is no commandline for it.
Sorry, even 3) is not possible.

Vnc run on the current desktop, if you switch the desktop ( like when you switch user or logoff) the desktop change and the vnc server
need to be restarted in the current visable desktop. The restart unlock all.

Thanks for ur answer Rudi, but how to explain when all my users are logged off, I can always get an reaction from my server, that means at least the vnc service is running with my OS no?

Yes, the service run in session0, and it's the service that restart uvnc in the current user session.
You always have 2x winvnc.exe running
1x in session0 -> service ( only job is to monitor the sessions and restart winvnc
1x in the current visable session.
The service keeps always running, but its the desktop part that capture/inject block input etc..

I hopes this clearify it a little
