How often does ultravnc poll Full Screen in a second?

Postby SuperKai » 2017-05-04 09:30

Hello everybody,

i am using Ultra VNC 1.2.1.2 Server on Windows 7 and a Ultra VNC Viewer 1.2.1.2 on Windows 10.
The Settings of the server are default.
I need to know how often does the vnc server poll the Full Screen in a second when enabled?
Or if nobody knows ... maybe somebody has an idea: how to detect the number of polling the full screen in a second? (example wireshark?)
If you need i can give you more informations.
I am new in this forum and i hope that everbody understand my question :)
Thanks you.

This is not a fixed value.

+ If nothing change on the screen, then the polling is lowered from 25ms to 500m.
+ The actual encoding is viewer initiated
The viewer ask, send me the next update... then the server send the next.
Using WAN and jpeg encoding you can get 25 FPS for HD res, but on WAN it's (lot) slower.
